Red Rocker

Red Rocker

Got a taste, gotta say I’m a junkie for life. She fused my fire and adrenaline high. My need for speed’s got me gunnin’. One touch she screams keep it comin’. Are you ready for the best damn ride of your life? — Rev Theory

There’s nothing new here. Just a fun rocker mash-up of things from the inventory of doom. (I promise you, it creaks every time hit I CTRL-I.) Old school raver pants from Bare Rose. They’re a great buy if you can find ‘em. I hate to dis on B@R, but really, how can you find anything there? I need a nap after every visit.  It’s like the equivalent of going to a RL place like TJMax,  but on crack. It makes my head hurt.  Paired up with prim goodness of Coco’s bomber jacket and Fab Pony’s disco sequin bikini top.

Iren’s fun hair style plus soviet-style hat (Ushanka) is funky and the hat is texture changing. w00t A word of warning…I wore this style partying one night and by the end of the night I was done with the Russian jokes about my hat. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

That being said, get on with your bad self. . .

Stillness of Heart

Stillness of Heart

–All that I want is stillness of heart so I can start to find my way out of the dark and into your heart. –Lenny Kravitz

A new release of leather from Coco for the fall and winter and this black leather jacket is gorgeous to the point of me saying “unf.” Clothing like this makes me feel inspired to blog again when looking gorgeous is effortless. (I know yesterday I was complaining about having 49k in inventory and nothing to wear. Hush.)

This jacket is both arousing and deadly when combined with Linc’s mesh top and beige striped low rise mini jeans skirt. Add in the slinky spice of Bax’s tall black boots (shown with and without top cuff) and look out.

Rock Muse

Rock Muse

Ninety percent of rock songs are about love and heartbreak. By that logic, I guess a muse is the most important thing for a musician to have.” – Dhani Harrison.

It will be easy to become someone’s muse in these crazy, rock star snakeskin pants released by designer Eboni Khan of  House of Hucci. They come in a handful of bright colors and have prim cuffs (not shown). Scintillating when scantily paired with my favorite black leather jacket from Acid & Mala and Worldwide Industries’ barely there bra. Don’t hold me responsible for breaking hearts while wearing this.

Lost Dreams – Joan

Lost Dreams – Joan

A new release of fun, graphic mini skirts/tops from Estelle Parnall of Lost Dreams. The mini skirt is cute in its simpleness and hand-painted belt. Offered in 5 different patterns, which include zebra, leopard, houndstooth, and two different tartans (red and blue). It also comes with a matching black neck top. I’m wearing the blue tartan skirt pictured below. I’ve paired it with League’s Garage shirt on top of the back top for a great tough girl look.

My boots are from the almost impossible-to-find Zero Number. I first saw them on a girl and had to have them. She didn’t speak English; just my luck. I ended up having to travel grid-wide to track those mothas down. But it was worth it. I despise doing grid Hunts because I suck at them, but I just love trying to connect the dots on a find. Sometimes when I *finally* find it, I feel like how Columbus must have felt discovering the America. Well, okay, maybe not that epic.

I think I’ve been wearing these boots for a week with all sorts of different looks. They also come in a very distressed brown as well. Like the skirt, they’re fab. (Style note on boots: Zero Number offers a few other wonderful boots, but keep in mind, they’re not script sizeable like the ones pictured below. They might be too chunky for some. )

Funky Butterflies

Funky Butterflies

I’ve just been in a funky mood lately clothing-wise. While I was waiting for a super-cute lucky board dress at shirohato, I shopped. Of course I’m gonna shop. I mean, how can I NOT shop? Get a grip.

At shirohato, they have these quirky clothes dirt cheap. I don’t wait for many lucky boards/chairs because I’m the type of person who stands in front of the microwave and says, “What is that like an entire minute? I don’t have a minute. Get on with it!” Yeah, I’m an impatient fuck. It’s a fact. As I was waiting for the characters 0-9 to pass on the lucky BORED (WTF?), I started using the tiny shop as my personal dressing room. Oh, like you haven’t done that when no one’s about. (Yeah, so there was this blue unicorn in the corner, but I’m sure he/she were not paying any mind. Besides, I’m pretty sure I wasn’t his/her type.)

Typically I’m not a fan of patterns on tops that look like they’re gripping my lady berries. However, this satin, handpainted jacket from shirohato was hard to resist. (Umm, hello, $40?!) I paired it up funky-like with the pants from the Urban outfit from Acid & Mala Creations and Naive’s brand new falling-down socks. I cannot get enough of those socks. (Psst, get the fat pack.) The great thing about them is that they don’t use the same attachment points as the cuffs. Yay! Attachment points can suck it.

The hair and hat combo is from Shop Seu. My PhotoShop skills completely butchered the sweet fuzzy/furriness of it, so use your imagination. I just wish it came in another color other than blond. Back in my early days, I used to be a blond, but grew tired of always shopping for blond textures. Trainers are expensive unisexy goodness from hoorenbeek. Oh, and I hate to tell you this, but you’re on your own with the hip chain. In one of my daily exploits of the grid, I found it. It’s from a shop called Gypsy Moon. However, the last time I was there, I couldn’t find it. I promise I’ll keep searching for it and update this post if I do. (Hey at least I’m not dangling Last Call yummeh’s in your face sayin, “Lookie here, pre-2007 bishes. You can’t haaaave. Neener”)

Oh, and despite spending a good 40 minutes last night, I still haven’t scored that cutie freebie dress. Someone hollah if you see the letter “H” at shirohato.

Club Mix

Club Mix

This look is created specifically for my friend Mercedes. She informed me the other night that I was doing entirely too many “pretty looks” and that I need to start doing more club looks. So here goes…

Pink Outfitters’ Builders jumpsuit in shocking pink starts the look off. Added underneath is part of Miel Mo’s tube top in teal. (I can’t lay off the crack.) The yellow belt (on the jacket layer) is from Emery and is part of the HipChic outfit. N-Core’s Stylus Platform XtremeHeel in yellow provides an even more burst of color. N-Core’s stiletto’s are special because the soles are scripted to change color. (Shown is black/pink sole.) Truth’s new release of Ingrid provides the attitude with its saucy hat.

I’d like to point out the awesome necklaces from Farrah Palmer’s chuculet. I visited her store the other day and was shocked at the prices. $1 for almost everything, including super-cute shapes. The necklace is very well-done and if it were available at the evil empire of Armidi, it would cost $300L, at least. If you visit her shop, be sure to leave her a tip

(Sorry for picture spam. I got carried away!)

Lost Dreams – Tracey

July 27, 2009

Lost Dreams Tracey

A new release from Lost Dreams, the Tracey dress is offered in 3 different colors. I like the bell sleeves and the overall texturing of the dress. It’s a satiny material with a very retro feel to the pattern. I added Fab Pony’s versatile ballet top in black, but the dress is great on its own. Try dressing it up with fishnets, boots and piling on necklaces from Icon.

For a funky look, Cream Shop’s scarf that has all sorts of fun little jewels hanging from it. Fishy Strawberry’s fishnets are a steal at 3 different looks for $150. Ripped, regular or black.

Oh, and the shoes…I *love* these shoes from N-Core. I saw them on the feed and Ctrl-R’d my pixeled behind over to N-Core. They’re pure sex and come with color-changing socks and soles. I’ve been having a hard time taking them off for a week now. “Whaddya mean jogging pants and stiletto’s don’t go together? Since when?”

My friend and shopping soul mate, Madisen Tandino, urged me to go to Rockberry and check out the Uma Skins. This skin certainly doesn’t disappoint. I like the way it fits my shape. It gives Volare an edgier, harder look. I love the lipstick and the fact that it’s tintable. And it seems like with this skin, I don’t even need to wear prim lashes since the lashes are so well-done.

Sorry for the picture spam. I just wanted to show a close-up of the skin. So pretty!

Pig — Skater Girl

July 17, 2009

Pig — Skater Girl

This is my attempt at a skater girl look, although at my RL age, if I actually skate boarded and fell, I’d probably wind up breaking a hip versus sporting the cute little colorful knee band-aid from Reek. *oh hush*

New from Pig is the “Ladies Like Flowers” half cardi in pretty pink. It comes in probably 20 different colors and on all layers. It looks sweet when paired up with plaid capris from Pig. I picked up the graphic T-shirt from Pink Outfitters $50 sale. The tube socks are part of the Urban Life outfit from Acid & Mala. I know you have those sneakers in your inventory from the VIP Hunt. ‘member? Dig ‘em out already.

I’m also in love with Reek’s colorful themes belt. I’m showing the Teenage Mutant turtle pattern. It has all of the old school gamer patterns built in it. And yeah, I’m that old to remember playing the first release of *all* of them.

Photo location is in Anthem. A trolly car turned cafe that has great atmosphere.

Bijou — Born Free

July 9, 2009

Bijou — Born Free

One of the many reasons I love Bijou is because they offer complete outfits. Not only that, they’re provided as separate layers for mixing and match. They offer mucho hand-painted goodness. The one bad thing is that some of the designs can get a little pricey. And now Bijou offers swim wear and amazing evening gowns, which makes my virtual wallet have nothing but moths in it.

I’m wearing Born Free in pink from Bijou. (It’s offered in other colors as well.) It’s a little pink velour shrug that tops a graphic tank. It comes with a pair of snake skin booty shorts that have a hand painted chain belt. It’s a little bit of a tough girl look but the pink sweetens it up.

Choker and bracelet are from Bliensen. Offered in a fat pack. They’re made of weathered metal gears. The hair/hat combo is Alex from Refuge. (I think Refuge’s hair is completely underrated.) Not only can you change the texture of the hat, but you can customize the buttons to your heart’s content.

Bijou & Iren

June 19, 2009

Bijou & Iren

Another funky look today. This time courtesy of the creative talent of Kotobuki Jewell at Bijou. This look is a complete outfit from Bijou. Stockings, garters lace panties and t-shirt. The arm warmers are from Bijou as well, but are part of the Glava ensemble. I love the funky gamer graphic on the t-shirt. I think it’s a great juxtaposition against the sexy lacy pants and high heels. The t-shirt is also provided in a long-sleeved version.

My Jimmy Chau Bettie shoes just kick some serious ass. It’s like pure sex in a shoe. (Hmm, why do I suddenly see this getting ranked high on a goggle foot fetish search?) The only thing I don’t like is that some times they’re mental in higher lag areas. And they’ll kinda-sorta not appear around the edges. (I’m sure there’s a technical explanation for it.)

The hair, which I totally adore, is from Iren. Iren is new to me. By designer Irischka Hotshot, her store offers lots of different hairstyles interspersed among the tattoo designs, including many with hats and visors. Cool thing for you men, is that some of the same styles are offered for you, too. Just super cute stuff. She also has photo real skin, and some clothes.

The hairstyle I’m pimpin from her today is called Girlfriend. It comes with 12 different scripted color changes, resizer, and all of the hair colors can be changed on a click, too. Niice
