Dress Me Up Challenge – Unraveled
Ana Lutetia has given me a very fun dress up challenge. She suggested a Neko/Grunge/Punk look. Indeed this was stepping outside of what I normally wear. And I did scour the grid for ears and a tail, which I must admit, once I donned, I felt quite like a kitty. There’s something enchanting about the flick of a tail or ear.
I did, however, totally cheat at this challenge. I had help…lots of help. I originally went to different designers looking for some inspiration. I was about to give up hope when League sent a notecard announcing their new release of WoolStrapped. When I saw the picture of the outfit, I knew it was it! The look I was going for. I consider it cheating, because I didn’t really mix and match anything.
Woolstrapped is an unraveling beautiful black and white woolen mess of a dress, complete with leg, arm warmers and boots.
I’m doing a self-imposed punk challenge the next time with more mix and matching.
Sorry for all the pics! I couldn’t help it!

Dress Me Up Challenge 2 ~ 80s Rocker Chick
Phire Zuhra challenged me to dressing up like an 80s rocker chick ala Pat Benatar from Love is a Battlefield. (She even gave me a video!) I must admit, I was a little bit out of my comfort zone and spent a few hours researching and prowling the grid for a look that I had in my mind. Kudos to GiGi Couture, House of Heart and Emery, I think I need to go find a band to front.
So thanks for getting me out of my comfort zone, Phire. I hope I kinda hit the mark for you. I guess that’s what this challenge is all about, eh?
What’s next?! Anyone?

Dress Me Up by Cajsa
The ever-stylish and beautiful Cajsa Lilliehook suggested that I give a lovely dress by Lady Thera Taurog of Lady Thera’s Art & Fashion a try. She also suggested Baba Yaga pumps from Enkythings and ETD hair. I was not familiar with Enkythings or Lady Thera. But of course, now I’m a fan. I was familiar with ETD hair having folders full of blond from back when I was a blond.
Lady Thera Taurog designs her dresses after famous painters and paintings. The dress I’m wearing below is based on the very well known, Post-Impressionist Vincent Willem van Gogh style.
Initially, van Gogh worked only with sombre colors, until he encountered Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism in Paris. He incorporated their brighter colors and style of painting into a uniquely recognizable style.. This dress captures his love of color and captured my heaert. When I first saw it, I knew that was the one I had to pick!
Anyone else want to dress me?

Dress: Lady Thera’s Il Giardino – red dots

Dress Me Up Challenge
I didn’t think I’d have the opportunity to take part in Achariya’s Dress Me Up Challenge, and I hope I’m not too late to the party, but here I am. Someone give me something to wear! Suggest an outfit, hair, skin shoes, whatever from a designer. (It’s cold, dress me quick!)
