Skin Flicks – Step Ahead

Mavis McGettigan of Skin Flicks recently released prim feet sandals for men. I enlisted the help of my very handsome, but very shy friend, Fierce Monday, to model the latest release of Skin Flicks’ sandals. The sandals are easy-to-use and match-up. The models have 5 band colors included. Inside the menu you will find skin matching to be simple with the top 5 skin designer tones listed. The feet also can be sized. (Poor Fierce didn’t realize his feet should be set to a size zero. They were a whopping Fred Flintstone size of 41.)

Fierce is styled in a pair of cargo shorts from Zanzo. These have prim pocket attachments and prim cuffs with realistic texturing. The button-down shirt is from Linc (Luck Inc) and looks pretty fetching on him. (They have the same version of this shirt for women, as well.) Layered under is a t-shirt from Mechanism, which is a great place for nicely textured/modern graphic tee shirts for men for $100L.

Finally, his glasses are from HOC. HOC is known for it’s inexpensive, unique designs. The glasses are very well done and include scripted options that are usually available in much more expensive models.

Side note: In taking pictures and post-processing Fierce, I realized how much easier it is than taking pictures of Volare. Although he refused to remove his chipped black polish and eye brow piercing (diva!), look for more from Fierce. I haven’t gotten him to sign a modeling contract, but I have an “in” with him.

Lost Dreams – Tracey

Lost Dreams Tracey

A new release from Lost Dreams, the Tracey dress is offered in 3 different colors. I like the bell sleeves and the overall texturing of the dress. It’s a satiny material with a very retro feel to the pattern. I added Fab Pony’s versatile ballet top in black, but the dress is great on its own. Try dressing it up with fishnets, boots and piling on necklaces from Icon.

For a funky look, Cream Shop’s scarf that has all sorts of fun little jewels hanging from it. Fishy Strawberry’s fishnets are a steal at 3 different looks for $150. Ripped, regular or black.

Oh, and the shoes…I *love* these shoes from N-Core. I saw them on the feed and Ctrl-R’d my pixeled behind over to N-Core. They’re pure sex and come with color-changing socks and soles. I’ve been having a hard time taking them off for a week now. “Whaddya mean jogging pants and stiletto’s don’t go together? Since when?”

My friend and shopping soul mate, Madisen Tandino, urged me to go to Rockberry and check out the Uma Skins. This skin certainly doesn’t disappoint. I like the way it fits my shape. It gives Volare an edgier, harder look. I love the lipstick and the fact that it’s tintable. And it seems like with this skin, I don’t even need to wear prim lashes since the lashes are so well-done.

Sorry for the picture spam. I just wanted to show a close-up of the skin. So pretty!

Miel Mo Good

Miel Mo Good

An urban look from Miel Mo. A new release of pocket pants and a tube top. Both come in a multitude of colors and can be mixed and matched to your heart’s content. Either of these pieces can be dressed up or dressed down. I’m still in major casual mode, so I’ve paired the pants and tube top with a t-shirt and trainers. The pants and top feature a sizing script to adjust to anyone’s twins and booty. The prim attachments are a dream to work with and blend effortlessly into each other. High quality work, as always, from Miel Mo.

I seriously can’t get enough of my Hidden Temple t-shirts from Reek. I’ve been wearing the different colors for two weeks now. The green and red velcro trainers are from hoorenbeek. (Yes I’m wearing velcro! *cringe*) Although another thing that makes me cringe is the price of these shoes. Sweet jezus! I’ve noticed hoorenbeek has a lot of unisex shoe goodness. Check ‘em out, but don’t blame me when you can’t make tier because you blew your wad there.

Raiding the boy’s closet Salsa-style

Dressing down again. Haven’t been much in the mood to be all fancy-like, so the look is comfy and casual.

With the exception of my manly plaid shirt from Salsa, this outfit is made-up of unisex items. Because all of my stuff is at the SL dry cleaner and I’m camped out at the Sit n Spin doing exactly that. I snuck  into my guy’s closet and grabbed the cute stuff. The pants are unisex from Pig as are the belt and camp t-shirt from Reek and my trainers from FNKY.

If you want to be girly, the plaid shirt is also offered in a girl tunic version in six, count ‘em, different colors.

Pig — Skater Girl

Pig — Skater Girl

This is my attempt at a skater girl look, although at my RL age, if I actually skate boarded and fell, I’d probably wind up breaking a hip versus sporting the cute little colorful knee band-aid from Reek. *oh hush*

New from Pig is the “Ladies Like Flowers” half cardi in pretty pink. It comes in probably 20 different colors and on all layers. It looks sweet when paired up with plaid capris from Pig. I picked up the graphic T-shirt from Pink Outfitters $50 sale. The tube socks are part of the Urban Life outfit from Acid & Mala. I know you have those sneakers in your inventory from the VIP Hunt. ‘member? Dig ‘em out already.

I’m also in love with Reek’s colorful themes belt. I’m showing the Teenage Mutant turtle pattern. It has all of the old school gamer patterns built in it. And yeah, I’m that old to remember playing the first release of *all* of them.

Photo location is in Anthem. A trolly car turned cafe that has great atmosphere.

Bijou — Born Free

Bijou — Born Free

One of the many reasons I love Bijou is because they offer complete outfits. Not only that, they’re provided as separate layers for mixing and match. They offer mucho hand-painted goodness. The one bad thing is that some of the designs can get a little pricey. And now Bijou offers swim wear and amazing evening gowns, which makes my virtual wallet have nothing but moths in it.

I’m wearing Born Free in pink from Bijou. (It’s offered in other colors as well.) It’s a little pink velour shrug that tops a graphic tank. It comes with a pair of snake skin booty shorts that have a hand painted chain belt. It’s a little bit of a tough girl look but the pink sweetens it up.

Choker and bracelet are from Bliensen. Offered in a fat pack. They’re made of weathered metal gears. The hair/hat combo is Alex from Refuge. (I think Refuge’s hair is completely underrated.) Not only can you change the texture of the hat, but you can customize the buttons to your heart’s content.

Fab Pony Swim

Fab Pony Swim – Disco Sequin Bikini

I’m back from holiday (it sounds so much more civilized than vacation). Anyone miss me?

Need a bathing suit that will make you shine at your next pool party? Break out the Saturday Night Fever and Gloria Gaynor. Fab Pony recently released a new line of swim wear. This fun sequin bikini fits the bill. Modest coverage in the back and cute prim ties at the hips makes this suit a hit. They come in a handful of colors. Also wearing the wildly popular Stephanie hair style from Truth.
