Lost Dreams – Michelle

Lost Dreams – Michelle
A beautiful new dress from Estelle Parnall of Lost Dreams new high-fashion line Glamazon. It’s called Michelle and it’s a dream. It’s one of those dresses that look better in Ultra settings. The silk pink bodice plunges in the back while the skirt is made of tiers of gauzy feathers. My pictures below do not do it justice. I realized that once I put it on, there was only one place to take pictures, and that’s the eretheal beauty of Tempura Island. So I fought the hell lag.
Muse’s over-the-shoulder brooch from a couple years back is the perfect compliment to this dress as are Stiletto Moody Foxy sling backs.

Ivalde -Svala

The Ivalde Challenge
Recently I was challenged by Beulah Mills of Ivalde to incorporate their designs into my every day fashions and show that Ivalde isn’t just vintage. I was definitely up for it. I’ve always admired not only Ivalde’s design, but Neferia Abels’ attention to detail and quality.
I have a few pieces of her collection in my closet and when I want to go simple and sexy, I find myself reaching for her Marilyn Wiggle dress in black. I know I can’t wrong. I also love her 70s clothes and am a big fan of the Kita suede coat from that decade.
The other night had me leisurely strolling through Ivalde looking for something special, something fierce. I laid my eyes on Svala. This outfit is a soft-knitted ivory tube top with a flirty lace hemline and an optional lepoard-spotted belt. This tops a pair of soft wool tweed shorts (available in long & short). The shorts have a great detail of a puffy prim cuff that really adds interest to the overall look.
I’ve kept the look simple with a new scarf in sepia from Maiterya. A pair of fuschia-colored wool knee socks and gold Stiletto Moody pumps add brighteness and color to the look. I’m one of those girls who usually only wear once piece of substantial jewelry. Here I’ve got on a great modern gold cuff from plus glam.
Do yourself a favor and stop in at Ivalde. Stretch your imagination and realize that vintage can be included in your daily look! I’ll be doing more of the same.

Gypsy Soul – City

Gypsy Soul – City
This new jumper from Gypsy Soul becomes a bit sophisticated because of the gray flannel of the skirt. The bodice has a 3-button and sweet ruffled placket. Underneath is a ribbed rich burgundy-colored sweater with prim collar and prim sleeves. Solitude Hermit of Gypsy Soul suggests topping this great look with a newsboy cap from Hat Pins
Instead of using the collar provided for the sweater, I paired it with Gbberish’s Miss Pembroke Scarf in Rose. I think the navy is a great contrast to the sweater. Keep in mind that I had to place the skirt prim on a spine attachment to allow the scarf to be on the chest attachment. Not a big deal. New hair from the lovelies at Maiterya provides a great detail and highlights the scarf.

Naive’s Sensibility
Hey! Naive is realizing that the economy is not the best and they’ve decided to lower their prices so that everybody can afford things. Go to the store and see it for yourself.
I’m wearing a very sweet dress named Sensibility. This dress has a bit of an attitude. It’s like it wants to be sporty, but it can’t make up it’s mind. It comes with the hat and gloves, too. The hat is super-easy to fit and looks girly with the side-swept pony tail from Truth.
I did have to adjust the belt and the skirt a little bit and sometimes my butt sticks out because of my AO. But this outfit is so perfect for a spring break somewhere warm.

Gypsy Soul – Berries
This week’s new release from Gypsy Soul gives us a soft gray front-pocket sweatshirt with an optional hoody and purple, berry-colored pants with front patch pockets and leg warmers. The sweatshirt is trimmed in a pretty little ribbon that makes it more special than your ordinary gray sweats. It has prim sleeves, a prim hoody as well as an optional prim attached front pocket.
I love the texturing on all of it. Also included are stripey leg warmers to compliment the rest of the outfit. Oh, and if you didn’t want to wear the leg warmers, the socks underneath are stripey, too, and super cute with a skirt and boots.
Because I didn’t get enough modding fun the other day, I paired the outfit with a darling wool cap from Kari in purple that I forgot I had. To make the hat work with the cute piggies from Truth, I had to futz with the overall hair size, a few strands and the position of the cap. It wasn’t too terrible and was worth the extra effort. The hat just tops it off!
I also broke out the purpley glow Vogue makeup from Celestial Studios for a fresh look.

Skin Flicks Leaha

Skin Flicks Leaha
Is it a nighty or is it a party dress? When I first put this outfit on from Mavis McGettigan of Skin Flicks, I totally expected to be wearing a nighty. Imagine my delight and surprise when I got a dress instead! I wonder if it was just named nighty because it’s a dress you would wear at night. Oh well, whatever it is I just love it. (I’m going to refer to it as a dress from here on out!)
Leaha is pure sex regardless. The delicate lace on the cleavage extends on the hem and down the back of the dress. You get a sexy silhouette coming and going.
The Leaha dress comes with two different hemlines. The lacy one shown below and a plainer mini-skirt option. The dress is available in three colors, pink, black and ivory. I love them all!

Maiterya
February 16, 2009
My girl Mercedes Kane and I fought the lag fight on Saturday to partake in the Maiterya shopping feeding craziness. We both snapped up a couple different colors of strapless tops, scarves and denim skirts and jetted back to the lair to try things on.
Mercedes and I sport some serious curves, and apparently the very talented designers at Maiterya are model-thin. We both spent about an hour modding that damn strapless top to work on either of us. Even the layer with the built-in AO gave me some trouble. Keep in mind, I’m completely challenged when it comes to modding. I wanted to hang myself with the scarf. Don’t even get me started.
I’m warning you now, if you’ve got any significant amount of curves, you’re going to spend some time jacking around with the top. Thankfully Maiterya makes it easy with a built-in script, and in the end, it turned out alright After much swearing on both of our parts and me vowing not to change my shape for clothes, we got it there. Merc’s looked better than mine. The belt on mine still isn’t quite right. !@#$%
We figured we spent so much time to look good, we’d document our efforts.

Anne’s Green Coat Dress

Anne’s Green Coat Dress
Just like a lot of other girls, I’ve seen the Devil Wears Prada at least a jillion times and have always coveted Andy’s wardrobe. Estelle Parnall from Lost Dreams has made her green coat dress a reality for us in SL! A beautiful wool texturing on this coat that also comes in a sexy red. I tried to completely recreate Andy’s look with Adam & Eve’s old gold pumps, a big black bag from LeLutka, and modern textured hair from Detour.

Cupid’s Fashionable Older Sister
Hi! I’m Cupid’s older fashionable sister who knows better about everything. Cupid never did listen to me. Still sporting a diaper at his age. He should be ashamed!
Thanks to Callie Cline, I’m looking adorable and sassified in her Angel Love ensemble. Which, my lovelies, is a steal at only $299. Get this! The entire package includes beautiful black gossamer wings, the long-sleeve t-shirt, cute mini with belt that has a great color-changing gem, zebra scarf, skull gem-changing zebra boots, bracelet and The Rock ring (not pictured ’cause I forgot
). (Did I get it all?) All for $299. (Callie informed me that soon the boots and scarf will be color changing as well.)
And if you’re not part of her CalGal group, do it now. Callie is always showing her girls the love. Get to Callie’s quick before I shoot your under-dressed butt with an arrow, babies.
